Socials 11 1930s Newspaper (McRae)
The Task:
You will be working as a newspaper editor to document the life and times of the 1930s. You will be expected to publish a short newspaper with a minimum of 4 articles. Each article should be a minimum of three paragraphs.
The Process:
You should begin researching the 1930s and decide what topics you are going to write about.
Once you have gathered your notes (please ensure you have documented your sources) you will need to begin writing your articles.
After writing your articles and gathering your photographs, you will need to do some layout and design, either using Microsoft Publisher, or one of the freeware programs highlighted below.
Please make sure that you have a friend edit your paper for grammar, mechanics and layout before submitting it to your teacher.
Please include your references in a bibliography and attach it to your newspaper when you hand it in for marking.
