Spanish 11 Children's Book Project (Ms. Shannon)
For this project you will be creating a children's book written in Spanish. Please read through some of the examples that Ms. Roblin and Mrs. Sutherland have provided for you.
Next, you need to pick who your main character is going to be and the setting for your book. Your main character can be anyone (or anything) you wish and your setting should take place in one of the following Spanish speaking countries:
Your Plot should be based on a "Big Event" in the life of your main character. To accomplish this, you need to research the life and culture of your target country and portray a special day in pictures as well as words.
Some examples of festivities or big events that may happen or are celebrated in many Spanish speaking countries are:

The length of your book should be at least 10 pages long and have a minimum of 3 sentences per page. The criteria for this project is in the following rubric:

When you are designing the layout of your children's book, you can either work on paper or choose to create a digital book.
If you choose to create a digital book, there are a limited number of ipads available for use in class. You can try using the free app called Book Creator.
